PTCC
About Us!
Hobsonville Primary School PTCC (Parent Teacher Community Committee) was formed in October 2004 (originally PTA) by a group of enthusiastic parents who wanted to get the best out of our school for their children. We are strongly committed to providing support to our parents, teachers and community through various channels like adult education, communication between all parties, fundraising, etc. We are a group of like-minded people who work together extremely cooperatively, enjoy each others company, and we have a lot of fun along the way!
Why Have a PTCC?
-
To enable parents, teachers and community the opportunity to formally discuss areas of interest.
-
To provide an opportunity through which parents discuss school community issues.
-
To encourage fellowship among parents, teachers, children and the community to achieve a mutual understanding of goals and problems in educating children.
-
To support our children receiving the best education that we can possibly give them and to foster the best physical, intellectual and mental health of the child.
-
To assist the school with activities where parent involvement is required.
-
To support the school Board of Trustees in development, communication and action of policies, strategies and other activities.
-
To assist the school with fundraising.

Parents should be involved in and understand the school their child is attending as well as the education system that governs the school. The PTCC movement provides a means for parents to achieve these ends.
By involving ourselves in the work of our school's PTCC, parents, teachers, and children benefit from knowledge and insight shared. Through the PTCC movement, parents have an opportunity also to become involved in the wider decision making process of the education system.
One of our favourite proverbs...
Tell me - I forget
Show me - I remember
Involve me - I understand
