Year 7/8 Boys Cricket Season

The beginning of term 1 has seen Hobsonville School set alight with the love of cricket.   On Tuesday we played our final game against Marina View at the Hobsonville Domain.  We started off positively by scoring 7 runs in our first over, but every time we scored runs, we lost a wicket every over.  The hard work really paid off and Hobsonville showed great communication with their running between the wickets and we genuinely had Marina View in panic until we started losing wickets from the end of the second over.  We ended up being bowled out for 45 runs and Marina View chased down our total but we got 6 of their best batsmen out.  We even got a team hat-trick and Joshua Armitt took 3 wickets in the same over.  If we had scored another 30-40 runs (which was definitely possible), the result could well have been different.  I was extremely proud of all the boys, the improvement is phenomenal and I eagerly anticipate our development in term 4 and next year term 1.  Well done boys (Mr Hill)

We had an important presentation to share but we ruined all our clothes during sport, the only materials we could find were 24 pieces of A 2 paper, a pair of scissors and a roll of tape. So we had to construct formal clothes out of these materials.
